Easter
just wouldnt be Easter without eggs! Every year children
chomp at the bit to start decorating Easter eggs. And each
year the challenge is to produce the most beautifully or wildly
decorated egg that tops them all! Once the big hunt is over
the challenge becomes
what to do with those eggs!
Truth be told, you can really only eat so
many plain, hard-boiled eggs! Weve decided to spend
some time this month exploring great recipe ideas that utilize
hard boiled eggs. These recipes will please your family and
ensure that your booty of eggs will be enjoyed in a variety
of dishes.
From
appetizers to salads to side dishes, you can surprise your
family with many wonderful recipes like Shrimp
or Crab Stuffed Eggs or Cumin
Chive Stuffed DeviledEggs, both providing a wonderful
twist to the standard deviled egg. Or for an extremely elegant
first course starter try our Deviled
Eggs w/Smoked Salmon, Basil Oil & Aioli sinfully
delicious, and packed with a lot of flavor!
Hard boiled eggs make wonderful additions
to virtually any salad. For a decorative presentation consider
grating the hard boiled egg into a small mound over your next
spinach salad. To a typical egg salad recipe add small cooked
cocktail shrimp and a touch of fresh dill for a seafood flare,
or try adding gf cooked ham, sun-dried tomatoes and a variety
of fresh herbs to your favorite potato salad recipe.
If you still have extra eggs left in the
refrigerator after you have exhausted all the creativity you
can muster sneak them into your kids lunch bag! They may or
not make it past their lips but they will at least have fun
showing off their decorative art before the egg ultimately
ends up end the trash (we all know they do it so why not admit
it).
We are always looking for new and creative
ways to use up Easter hard boiled eggs if youve
got some creative ideas, by all means, let us know! Email
