Good Habits For Perfect Skin At Any Age
At Glutenfreeda, we believe
that living a gluten-free lifestyle doesnt have to
mean neglecting your skin. Except for lipstick and lip glosses,
skin care products arent ingested. As long as you
dont rub your face and put your fingers in your mouth
afterward, it isnt necessary to use gluten-free skin
care products. With that in mind, how do you develop skin
care that brings out your best? Professional makeup artists
seem to agree that the most important thing that you can
do for your skin as you age is to take good care of yourself.
Beauty starts from within. If you want your skin to be on
its best behavior, you need to clean up your act and develop
a few simple habits.
- Knowing and accepting yourself
is a great start to an inner glow. Confidence radiates.
Instead of seeing the negative aspects of aging that
you pick out in the mirror, focus on the good ones instead.
Do you have beautiful eyes? Luxurious hair? Pretty lips?
Experiment with ways to enhance your best features.
- Good nutrition is key. What you
eat shows on your skin.
- Drink plenty of water. Take just
six to eight sips at a time regularly, throughout the
day. The small sips are absorbed better and they minimize
the bodys flushing of excess fluids.
- Exercise to give yourself a natural,
healthy glow. Twenty to thirty minutes of any aerobic
exercise will give you that glow. Exercise increases
blood flow, which brings more nutrients to the skin.
- Know what products work for your
skin type. Dont overdo cosmeceuticals. With more
and more beauty products containing alpha-hydroxy acids
(AHAs), antioxidants, and retinoids, mixing a cleanser
from one line with a scrub from another and a moisturizer
from another can lead to over-exfoliation and irritation.
To play it really safe, stick with one line of products
which are formulated to work together.
- Its important to simplify
your make-up. Remember to use a light hand when applying
foundation, powder, concealer, and make-up. Mature beauty
isnt about trying to look younger. Its about
looking fresher, softer, more confident.
