GFCF Holiday Desserts
Whether you’re preparing a holiday feast or bringing a dish as a guest to a holiday meal, cooking authentic tasting desserts that are both gluten-free and casein-free can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. Our goal when cooking gluten-free and gfcf is that no one can tell that they are eating anything different. We don’t subscribe to the idea that you should make something gfcf that only you will eat. Food, especially during the holidays, should be shared and enjoyed by everyone. To prove our point, we’ve put together a collection of amazing gfcf dessert recipes that you will be proud to serve and your guests will be thrilled to eat.
For Children:
Chocolate Peanut Butter Treats
These are made from EnviroKids Koala Krisps and cut out into holiday shapes just like sugar cookies. They are fun to make and eat!
Chocolate Peppermint Squares
Like a brownie, only frosted with a chocolate and peppermint sugar icing. These are habit forming!
Molasses Gingerbread Cake
This cake is perfect for anytime, dessert, breakfast or as a lovely afternoon treat served with tea or coffee.
Pumpkin Cupcakes w/Cream Cheese Frosting
These cupcakes will definitely become a family favorite, just read the reviews! The cream cheese frosting is made from mock cream cheese and is out-of-this world. If you don’t tell them it’s gfcf, no one will ever know!
Apple Cinnamon Cake
Light and airy, this cake is perfect served by itself or accompanied by gfcf ice cream, yum!
Elegant:
Pumpkin Cheesecake w/Brownie Crust
This is a beautiful dessert that is sure to impress anyone at your holiday table. Make this dessert the day before you intend to serve. We’re guessing that once you’ve served it it will become a family tradition.
Happy Holidays,
