How are the products shipped?
Glutenfreedas Real Cookies are shipped frozen.
The cookies are boxed in Styrofoam containers with ice packs.
Currently, we are shipping Fed Ex 2 day air but we are in
the process of investigating alternate shipping options and
will post new options as they are available.
How will the products arrive?
The cookie dough may have thawed during shipping, but it should
be cool to the touch upon arrival. While receiving thawed
cookie dough is normal, it is important that it be put in
the freezer or refrigerator as soon as possible. If
there is a chance that you will not be home at the time of
delivery, you may want to have it shipped to your place of
work. Glutenfreedas Real Cookies will not be responsible
for products that have been neglected on your doorstep.
Can I bake Real Cookies if they are frozen?
Real Cookies can be baked directly from the refrigerator or
the freezer. If you choose to bake them directly from the
freezer, allow an additional 2-3 minutes cooking time.
My cookies burned on the bottoms, what can I do?
If your cookies brown too quickly or burn on the bottoms,
it is usually due to your baking sheet. Line your baking sheet
with a silpat or parchment paper or use a heavier gauge baking
sheet.
Is it safe to eat the cookie dough raw?
Our cookie dough is meant to be eaten after it has been properly
baked. The USDA does not recommend eating raw cookie
dough because of the possibility of salmonella in uncooked
eggs. All of our products are made with pasteurized
eggs to ensure the absence of salmonella at the time of manufacture.
But, once the dough has been thawed, there is always the possibility
of contamination. Please, treat raw cookie dough like
you would any other perishable product, use your best judgment. .
How long will the cookie dough last?
If kept frozen, cookie dough will last for four months.
You may keep them in the refrigerator for 2 weeks without
any loss in quality. If the dough has been left
in the refrigerator for a significant length of time, you
may notice that the cookies might not spread as much.
My cookies were left out overnight, are they ok to eat?
If you have accidentally left your box of cookie dough out
overnight or longer, you may want to throw them out.
Even though we use pasteurized eggs, salmonella is possible
if the cookie dough is not kept frozen or refrigerated.
Again, treat raw cookie dough like you would any other perishable
product, use your best judgment.
I am allergic to nuts, which products may contain nuts?
Our Chocolate Minty Pythons are the only flavor that we currently
process that does not contain nuts, however, all of our products
may contain traces of nuts (including peanuts), as they are
processed in the same facility.
Do you provide nutritional information?
Nutritional information is available on each cookie container
and on this
page.
Do you have plans for additional flavors?
Yes! We are working on additional flavors and will add them
to our web site as soon as they become available.
