Thai cuisine is seductively aromatic with a harmonious blend of flavors, colors and textures. Most Thai dishes are easy and quick to cook and are lighter in fats and cholesterol than most ‘Western’ cuisine.
What gives Thai food its distinctive character is a "harmony" in flavors. Most Thai food combines a variety of taste combinations; sour, salty, sweet, hot and aromatic. Many Thai dishes are naturally gluten-free because the typical flavorings used are fish sauce, coconut milk, curry, ginger, and red peppers-all gluten-free. Also, Thai dishes are generally made or served with rice noodles or steamed white rice. Soy sauce is used in some recipes but not as heavily as in other Asian cuisines.
As in other Asian foods, most Thai foods are served with minimal cooking and recipes call for fresh ingredients.
‘Thai Kitchen’ produces delicious Thai flavoring pastes that are gluten-free and will transform a stir-fry into a flavorful Thai inspired dish in seconds. The company produces several flavors from chili pastes to curries.
We’ve used Thai Kitchen’s Roasted Chili Paste in several of the recipes we’ve prepared this month including Fish Curry, Cauliflower Green Beans & Cashews and Pork Stuffed Lettuce Wraps.
We hope you will try them and the following Thai inspired recipes:

*As always, when eating out, please check with the chef to make sure that the food he is preparing for you is, indeed, gluten-free. In a Thai restaurant request no soy sauce.
