Living gluten-free does not mean that you will need to forgo these delicious tummy tempters. If you are not the host this year, offer to bring a dessert — nobody will guess that your delicious treat is gluten-free. In fact, don’t be surprised if you get requests for your recipe.

Most people on a gluten-free diet worry about crusts for their pies and tarts. We have found a great product by The Gluten-Free Pantry — "Perfect Pie Crust". This mix produces a perfect, flaky, buttery crust. You and your guests will not know the difference. One helpful hint — roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper, lightly dusted with gf flour.

Cakes:

Decadent Brownies

If you would like to convert a favorite cake recipe follow these helpful modification tips:

  1. Add an extra egg
  2. Add up to _ cup canola oil to the batter
  3. Increase the baking powder by _ teaspoon
  4. Add 1 cup of gf yogurt, crème fraîche, sour cream or buttermilk to the batter

If you follow these guidelines your cake will be moist and flavorful — not any different than a gluten-filled cake.
