The Autumn of Apples

Apple Cranberry Pie

Here in the Northwest, we are blessed with a wealth of locally grown fruit and vegetables. In late summer, the rolling hills of Eastern Washington abound with a diverse variety of apples. From yellow, green, red to deep burgundy, these apples are not only wonderful eaten right from the tree, but many varieties are perfect for cooking.

To celebrate apple harvest along with our second Anniversary, we’d like to share eight delicious, unique apple recipes. Enjoy fresh apples in Cinnamon Apple Crepes for breakfast, in elegant entrees like Apple Stuffed Cornish Hens or Salmon with Apples and Raisins. And apples are always perfect for dessert, try Apple Cranberry Pie or a very elegant Caramel Pudding with Apples.

Enjoy the season and a new crop of apples in all their variety and spendor!
