Each year on Halloween our little goblins and ghosts, or perhaps in today’s world, Spongebob and Jo Jo the Clown, head out into the cool crisp late October night to retrieve the world’s biggest bounty of candy that could possibly fit into a bucket or heaven forbid a pillow case! It used to be the biggest concern to go through all the candy before the children ravaged through it all to check to make sure it hadn’t been tampered with. Now with a child with Celiac it is imperative to not only check for candy that has been poisoned….but inadvertently poisoned with gluten! Over the years we have collected lists of “safe” candy that we thought we’d share with our subscribers to be used as a handy reference this Halloween. Please note: it is always a good idea to check with the manufacturers to make sure that their manufacturing process or their ingredients have not changed since this information was obtained.
