Heating instructions:

Authentic tasting Mexican burritos in just two minutes.

We have printed our recommended heating instructions on the back of our packaging, however some of our customers have had problems with the tortilla sticking to the paper towel. 

To avoid sticking we suggest trying the following options:
  1. Place the burrito or wrap on the bottom half of a paper towel and loosely lay the top half over the burrito or wrap. Microwaving a frozen burrito will cause moisture and the paper towel helps to absorb some of the moisture. After 1 minute, turn the paper towel with the burrito inside over and lift the paper towel so it is laying loosely over the burrito. (If any portion of the paper towel is stuck to the burrito it is easy at this point to loosen it) Microwave for 1 more minute. Remove burrito or wrap and enjoy.
  2. Place burrito or wrap on a plate and cover with a paper towel. Microwave for 1 minute. Remove paper towel and turn burrito or wrap over. Place paper towel loosely over burrito or wrap and microwave for 1 more minute.

A little creativity can transform your burrito into a culinary masterpiece

Don’t get stuck in a burrito rut! Besides the obvious of adding your favorite salsa, hot sauce, sour cream or fresh guacamole, your burrito can transform into a culinary dream with a little ingenuity and perhaps a new cooking method approach.

Grill
  1. Thaw in refrigerator overnight or microwave to defrost (for 2 minutes total, flipping every 30 seconds)

  2. Prepare gas or charcoal grill

  3. Remove wrapper from burrito

  4. Grill over indirect heat for about 5 minutes, turn and continue to grill for another 5 minutes. Test to make sure burrito is cooked through, if necessary grill for an addition 2-3 minutes.

  5. Let cool briefly and devour!

Panini Press
  1. Thaw in refrigerator overnight or microwave to defrost (for 2 minutes total, flipping every 30 seconds)

  2. Remove wrapper from burrito

  3. Cook in Panini Press for a total of about 4 minutes

  4. Let cool briefly and devour!

Pan-fried like a Chimichanga
  1. Thaw in refrigerator overnight or microwave to defrost (for 2 minutes total, flipping every 30 seconds)

  2. Remove wrapper from burrito

  3. Heat 1 inch of vegetable or canola oil in a fry pan until hot.

  4. With tongs, carefully add the burrito to the oil and cook for about 2 minutes per side.

  5. Remove the burrito from the pan and let cool on a paper towel (to absorb any excess oil)

  6. Let cool briefly and devour!

Oven
  1. Remove the outer wrap and wrap burrito in foil.

  2. Cook at 350 °F for 45 minutes or until filling is hot.

  3. Let cool briefly and devour!

Microwave
  1. Remove the outer wrap from burrito

  2. Place on plate and loosely cover with a paper towel.

  3. Microwave for 1 minute.

  4. Remove paper towel and turn burrito over.

  5. Place paper towel loosely over burrito and microwave for 1 additional minute.

  6. Let cool briefly and devour!
