Great taste. Slight lemon flavor not too overpowering.

I was looking for the gritty texture in this and I never found it. This cake rose beautifully* and came out nice and moist.

Looking for a quick, delicious dessert to serve to company this holiday season? Well, after this month’s product test on Sylvan Border Farms Lemon Cake Mix, I think I’ve found your solution. I do have to admit I was a little skeptical since many of the mixes I have tried in the past have led to disappointment. However, Sylvan Border Farm’s Lemon Cake Mix was a snap to prepare and it came out beautifully….and the ultimate test, taste, passed with flying colors! This cake came out with a nice, slight lemon flavor with great texture (not gritty). As a side note, I made the cake in a Bundt pan and then drizzled a lemon icing over the top after it had cooled. It was great! In fact, I took this over to some friends (non-gluten intolerant) for dessert and they all loved it.
The other thing I liked about this product is that most gluten-free products are made from white rice and starches. This product uses a blend of light and nutritious flours (quinoa, and amaranth, for instance).
I would definitely recommend this product to those looking for a great, easy dessert or breakfast bread.
