| Taste |
 |
These biscuits are fairly light and had the right combination of buttery and slightly salty taste – much like we remember of traditional biscuits.
| Texture |
 |
Because these biscuits are made with tapioca and cornstarch, they did have the slight texture indicative of these ingredients but it certainly wasn’t overpowering. Again, they were the best texture we’ve found of a biscuit, especially for store bought mixes.

This is a dry mix and should store for quite some time in your pantry.

123 Gluten Free Biscuits Ingredients: Rice flour, Tapioca flour, Potato starch, Cornstarch, Sugar, Aluminum-free Baking Powder (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Baking Soda, Tapioca Starch, Monocalcium Phosphate), Xanthan Gum, Salt.
In thinking of the holidays we decided to test 123 Gluten Free’s Biscuits, since many families enjoy biscuits as an accompaniment to a big feast. These biscuits are gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy free, casein free, peanut free, tree nut free, egg free and soy free (although to prepare them you will need either cream and or a dairy free substitute). These biscuits were very easy to make and we found the dough quite pleasurable to work with. We found these biscuits to only have a slight gluten-free taste/texture but all in all probably the best gluten-free biscuit we’ve had. In making these biscuits we followed the simple instructions by adding butter, cream and half-n-half to the mix and then processing it briefly in a food processor. You can also substitute the cream and half-n-half with buttermilk (or a non-dairy substitute as state above). |
