1/3 cup gf Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 12 slices diagonally cut gf French Bread baguette 1 large garlic clove, cut in half 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced thin
Combine the Gorgonzola cheese and unsalted butter in a small bowl, stirring with a fork until blended. Adjust seasonings to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Preheat the broiler.
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and cook 2 minutes per side under the broiler or until lightly browned on each side. Remove from the oven and rub the cut side of the garlic cloves onto the top of each baguette slice. Discard the garlic. Spread about 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture over the top of each slice. Top with a slice of green apple and serve.
