For seafood sauce: 1/2 cup gf catsup 1/2 cup chili sauce 1/4 cup finely grated horseradish Splash gf hot sauce Fresh lemon
For chili sauce: 3 red bell peppers, coarsly chopped 3 onions, coarsly chopped 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar 7 pounds ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped 1 cup gf brown sugar 1 Tablespoon salt 1 Tablespoon dry mustard 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
For chili sauce: Place all ingredients in large sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer until thick, about 3 hours.
For seafood sauce: In a small bowl combine catsup, chili sauce and horseradish. Add hot sauce and fresh lemon juice, to taste.
This sauce is absolutely delicious! It needs to simmer for 3 hours, so plan ahead. The chili sauce will make enough for two good size parties, so use half and freeze the rest or store for a week in the refrigerator.
