Ingredients
1 teaspoon olive oil, divided 1 large shallot, minced 1 garlic clove, minced 2 cups seedless red grapes, halved 2 Tablespoons gf soy sauce 2 Tablespoons honey 1/2" piece fresh ginger, peeled & minced Dash of five spice powder
Directions
In a medium saucepan heat 1 teaspoon oil over medium heat. Add shallots and garlic; sauté for 2 minutes or until tender. Add grapes, gf soy sauce, honey, ginger and five spice powder. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until grapes are falling apart.
Using a food processor, process grape mixture until smooth. Adjust seasonings to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Tips
This grape sauce is awesome served over grilled pork or chicken.
