Makes about 1/2 cup Difficulty
1 garlic clove, minced 1 inch piece of ginger, minced 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger; sauté until just tender. Add applesauce and brown sugar. Stir to blend. Reduce heat to low and gently simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over baked ham or your favorite pork or poultry.
