Ingredients
1 bunch asparagus, cleaned and stems trimmed or peeled 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter 1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Blanch asparagus for about 2-3 minutes in boiling salted water.
Drain and immediately submerge in ice water to halt cooking process and preserve bright green color. Drain asparagus from ice bath;`set aside.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus, turn to coat and reheat.
Transfer asparagus to a serving platter and drizzle with lemon juice. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
