1 lb. green beans, trimmed 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter 5 garlic cloves, peeled 1 teaspoon fresh sage, chopped 1Tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
Directions
Bring a medium saucepand with enough water to cover the beans to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and add beans. Cook until the beans are just tender, about 2 minutes. Place in a large bowl with ice water, then drain. Melt the butter in a large non-stick skillet over low heat. When melted, add garlic and cover skillet. Cook for about 20 minutes until softened. Remove cover and mash garlic in the pan with a fork. Add beans to skillet along with sage and parsley. Toss to coat and warm the beans. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
