Ingredients
2 large or 3 medium russet potatoes
Salt and pepper
1/3 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
1 Tablespoon butter
Directions
Gently boil potatoes in water until very soft. Drain and place in a bowl.
Mash potatoes and form into patties.
In a non-stick skillet melt butter. Add potato cakes and brown on both sides. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Just before serving, sprinkle with cheese.
