6 large basil leaves 3 medium tomatoes 1/2 pounds fresh mozzarella at room temperature, cut into 1/4-inch slices extra-virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar salt and freshly ground pepper
Remove basil leaves from stems, rinse and pat dry. Slice basil with sharp knife or kitchen shears into small, even strips. Rinse, core, and slice tomatoes lengthwise into 1/4-inch slices. On a plate, alternate tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella in a circular pattern starting from the middle and working outward. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar evenly over the salad and season generously with salt and pepper. Allow the salad to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving. Serve with gf french bread.
