2 Tablespoons vegetable oil 4 cloves garlic, minced 4 green onions, cut into 1/2" pieces 1 pound top sirloin, cut into 1-1/2" strips 2 cups snow peas 1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced 1 Tablespoon gf soy sauce 1 Tablespoon fish sauce 1 Tablespoon gf catsup 1 Tablespoon mirin 1 teaspoon sugar Gf beef or chicken broth 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Directions
In a glass measuring cup, add soy sauce, fish sauce, mirin, catsup and sugar. Stir to blend; adding enough beef or chicken broth to make 2/3 cup. Stir to blend.
Heat a wok, or large, heavy skillet over high heat and add 1 tablespoon oil. When oil is very hot, add garlic and onion; saute for 1 minute and remove from pan.
Add remaining tablespoon of oil. When hot, add beef and saute quickly until just browned; remove from pan.
Add snow peas and red pepper; saute until just tender. Add garlic, onions and beef back to pan then add broth mixture.
Remove 1 tablespoon broth to a small bowl and mix with cornstarch. Add to pan and stir until thickened. Serve immediately over steamed white rice.
