1-1/2 pounds tender top sirloin or flank steak, cut into thin strips 1/2 onion, sliced 1/2 cup gf beef broth 1 Tablespoon gf soy sauce 1 teaspoon gf oyster sauce 1 Tablespoon olive oil Toasted sesame seeds Salt and pepper to taste 1 Tablespoon corn starch 2 Tablespoons water 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
Directions
Place rice in heavy saucepan and rinse until water is clean. Add enough water to the pan so that it reaches the first knuckle of your forefinger when finger gently touches top of rice. Sprinkle with salt and bring to a boil Boil until water has evaporated and top of rice is fairly dry. Cover and reduce heat to lowest setting. Cook for 25 minutes. Five minutes before rice is done, heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add steak strips and cook quickly until browned. Add onions and cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring constantly. Mix 2 Tablespoons water with 1 Tablespoon corn starch. Add broth to pan and then corn starch mixture, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over gf fettuccini noodles or rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
