Makes 4-6 servings. Difficulty
4 cups cider 2 1x2 inch pieces of orange rind (try to avoid a lot of the white pith, since it will add a bitter taste to your cider) 5 cloves 2 cinnamon sticks 1/2 vanilla bean, split 1/2 teaspoon whole allspice
Place all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Slowly bring to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer gently for 45 minutes. Strain cider and pour into warmed mugs.
