Caramelized Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon canola oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
Salt
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 pound ground chicken
Directions
Heat the oil in a medium non-stick skillet over medium heat. When hot, add onions and lightly season with salt. Cook the onion for 20 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat and toss with thyme. Transfer to a bowl and place in the refrigerator to cool. When cool, add ground chicken to onions and form into 4 patties. Season the patties with salt. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add the patties and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through. Serve immediately.

Nell I think the reason our lives have beomce so difficult is due to the many gluten free fad dieters around in todays society. It really is unfortunate how these individuals are convincing restaurants that a little bit of gluten wont hurt. It has made our lives very scary indeed. I cannot personally tolerate glucose syrup or caramel either. I wonder how many businesses have been convinced to use these products in ones gluten free meal.
