Grilled Pears w/Chocolate Sauce & Nuts

Ingredients

2 ounces semi-sweet gf chocolate
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups gf packed brown sugar
1/2 cup half & half
1 Tablespoon amaretto
4 firm pears, peeled, halved and cored
1/2 cup toasted, chopped pecans
Directions
Place chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of simmering water; stir until melted. Stir in brown sugar and half & half; continue to cook until blended and smooth. Stir in liqueur and remove from heat.

Prepare a grill.

Grill pears, cut-side down until tender and grill marked, about 10 minutes.

To serve, place a pear on individual dessert plates and decoratively drizzle chocolate sauce over pear. Sprinkle with nuts and serve.
Tips
To toast pecans:
Place pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat and toast for about 5 minutes or until they begin to brown.
