4 pork sirloin steaks 2 teaspoons dried basil 2 teaspoons dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 Tablespoon olive oil 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions
In a small bowl combine the basil, oregano and garlic powder. Season both sides of the pork with the herb mixture, salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Heat the olive oil and butter in an oven-safe large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork to the skillet and brown on both sides. Transfer the skillet to the oven and let cook for an additional 5-10 minutes or until done. Spoon accumulated juices over the pork and garnish with parmesan cheese.
