1 Tablespoon sugar 5 green onions, cut into 1" pieces 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper 1/2 cup gf soy sauce 1/2 cup sake 1/2 cup canola oil 2 Tablespoons toasted sesame seeds 4 rib-eye steaks
Combine all ingredients except steaks and blend well in a small bowl. Pour mixture into a sealable plastic bag and add steaks, tossing to coat. Let marinate in refrigerator over night. Grill over hot coals until lightly charred outside and medium-rare inside, about 4 minutes per side. Serve immediately.
You can serve the remaining marinade with the cooked steaks for dipping; just bring the marninade to a boil then pour into a serving bowl.
