6 gf brats (we used Johnson’s Brats) 1 onion, thinly sliced 2-12oz gf beers 1 cup water 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil gf stone ground or Dijon mustard for serving
Prick each brat several times with a fork. Place onion slices on the bottom of a skillet. Place the brats on top and add beer and water to cover. Place the skillet over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Meanwhile heat a grill. Drain cooking liquid from brats and when dry, rub or brush with oil. Grill over medium flame until browned about 12 minutes, turning to brown all sides. Transfer to plates and serve with a dolop of mustard.
