1 large yam, peeled and cut into 1" cubes 1 large russet potato, peeled and cut into 1" cubes 1 garlic clove, peeled 2 Tablespoons butter 1/4-1/2 cup half & half Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
In a large saucepan cover yams, potatoes and garlic with water. Bring to a boil and cook until yams and potatoes are very tender. Drain.
Mash yams and potatoes, add butter and mix until melted. Add half and half and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve.
Tips
This dish is actually made with yams, but the beautiful orange color reminds us of pumpkins.
