1-1/2 pound flank steak 1/2 medium onion, finely diced 2 teapsoons fresh ginger, peeled and minced 1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice Pinch of salt 1 Tablespoon gf soy sauce 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil 1/4 teaspoon hot red chile flakes
In a small bowl, combine onion, ginger, lime juice, salt, soy sauce, vegetable oil and red chili flakes. Place flank steak in a large zip-lock bag and add marinade. Seal bag and turn to coat. Marinate steak for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Grill flank steak for 6-8 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from grill, transfer flank steak to a carving board and tent with foil to let rest and keep warm. When ready to serve, slice steak against the grain in thin slices. Serve immediately.
