Olive oil 3 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/8th" slices 1 clove garlic, unpeeled and crushed 1 bay leaf Salt and pepper
Heat oven to 350 degrees F Oil a roasting pan or casserole that potatoes will fit in two layers. Place one layer of potatoes in the pan and bury the garlic and bay leaf between the slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Add the second layer, sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle again with olive oil. Bake for 1 hour turning once.
