Ingredients
1/2 cup gf Dutch processed cocoa 1 cup gf flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened 1-1/2 cups sugar 2 large egg whites 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Place a rack in center of oven and heat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter an 8"x8" baking pan and line with parchment or wax paper.
In a medium bowl, mix together cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Whisk in egg whites, applesauce and vanilla.
Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 40 minutes.
Let brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
