Drop Biscuits

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups gf flour
2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

In a medium bowl sift dry ingredients together.
Add cut pieces of butter to dry ingredients, then cut in with a pastry cutter or knife. Add milk and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.

Using a large spoon, drop batter onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown.

These biscuits are delightfully easy. They are crisp on the outside with a perfect soft biscuit texture on the inside.

These were easy to make and everyone in my family loved them, even the gluten-eaters! I have also experimented adding various herbs, garlic, cheeses, etc. with much success. Adding too much cheese will change the consistency, so experiment with smaller amounts first if you try that.

I must have done something wrong or maybe my expections were too high. I used the french bread mix for my flour but was not impressed. Diane

I used Bob’s Red Mill all purpose flour and had no problem at all. I added some fresh herbs and no one even questioned if they were gf or not. Will be making them again tonight!

These biscuits are delicious! My family had no idea they were gluten free! Great texture and I will definitely make these again!

I used Bob’s Red Mill GF Flour and they were way too wet. Turned out like pancakes. Tasted OK, though
