Directions
Heat the butter and oil in a large heavy skillet. Add onion and garlic and cook over medium heat until onion is tender. Add curry powder, reduce heat to low and cook for about 4 minutes. Add cream, broth, milk, sherry, relish and berbere. Continue to cook and stir until mixture thickens. Add turkey and cook until heated through. Serve over rice.
Tips
We used Patak’s Garlic Relish which can be found in grocery and specialty food stores.
Berbere is an aromatic spice from Ethiopia and can be found in gourmet specialty stores. You can make this recipe without the berbere, but it is superb with it.
