4 large ripe tomatoes, cut in half horizontally 4 teaspoons olive oil Salt and fresh ground pepper 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 Tablespoons chopped basil
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Place tomatoes on a baking sheet, cut side up. Drizzle each with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 2 hours. Half way through the baking time, sprinkle garlic evenly over tomatoes. Sprinkle with basil just before serving.
