Ginger Beef

Ingredients

1/4 cup plus 1 Tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 teaspoon gf flour
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound top sirloin steak, sliced 1/4" thick
1 1/2 Tablespoons garlic, minced
1 1/2 Tablespoons gf soy sauce
1 Tablespoon gf black bean sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
2 fresh Thai or serrano chiles, seeded and thinly sliced
1/4 cup cilantro, coarsely chopped
Directions
Soak the ginger in a small bowl of warm water for about 5 minutes. Drain. Return ginger to the bowl and mix with flour. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat and cook 1/2 the meat until browned on all sides. Transfer to a platter, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, add the remaining meat and cook until browned. Add the soy sauce, black bean sauce, sugar, chiles and ginger and stir-fry for 1 minute. Stir in cilantro and serve.
Tips
Make a pot of jasmine rice and serve the Ginger Beef on top.

We found gf oyster sauce in an Asian market.
