1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 banana, quartered 2 pinches of cinnamon 1 Tablespoon Myers Rum gf Vanilla ice cream
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Add both sugars and stir until dissolved. Increase heat and boil until syrupy, about 4 minutes (be careful not to burn mixture). Add quartered banana. Stir in about a tablespoon of rum. Light the contents of the saucepan with a kitchen torch, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Remove from heat. Allow alcohol to cook off - flames will go out when it is ready.
Pour sauce and banana mixture over 2 bowls of vanilla ice cream. Serve immediately.
