One 19 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed 2 large garlic cloves, chopped 2 Tablespoons onion, coarsely chopped 2 Tablespoons cilantro, coarsely chopped 1 Tablespoons lime juice 1/2 teaspoon hot chili oil 1/4 teaspoon lime zest, finely grated 1/4 teaspoon cumin 1/4 teaspoon thyme Salt and freshly ground black pepper
In a food processor, combine all ingredients. Add 1 tablespoon water and process until smooth (add more water if you want a thinner consistency).
Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with cilantro sprigs and serve with tortilla chips.
