Terrific
Teriyaki Sauces
There
is no need to stress about which store variety of teriyaki sauce
is safe to eat, when it is so quick and easy to make at home.
You can make a fabulous teriyaki sauce in a matter of minutes
that we think is much better than any store bought product.
Teriyaki
sauce imparts a wonderful flavor to chicken, beef, pork, fish
and even vegetables. Teriyaki sauce like other good marinades
also tenderizes as it imparts flavor. Thinly sliced meats will
absorb more flavor from the sauce and therefore should be marinated
for a shorter period of time than thicker cuts or whole pieces
of meat.
We
recommend marinating meats in teriyaki sauce for two hours except
for fish, which should be marinated for 30 minutes. Teriyaki sauce
can also be brushed on or added to the meat or fish as it cooks.
You
can experiment with creating your own uniquely flavored teriyaki
sauces by adding different seasonings to our basic recipe. Try
adding hot chili peppers for a spicy hot version or lemon or oranges
for hint of fruit flavor.
